The 600 Group PLC (“the Group”) is a diversified engineering group with a world class reputation in the manufacture and distribution of machine tools, precision engineered components and industrial laser systems. The Group operates these three areas of business from locations in Europe, North America and Australia selling into more than 180 countries worldwide.
TS Grale was retained by 600 Group to source a new Managing Director within their Machine Tools Division for its UK and Europe business. The organisation was keen to ensure they undertook a broad search for talent from within the precision engineering market place, with an emphasis on finding an individual with a proven ability to further grow revenues and profitability.
Post an initial consultation with the team at 600 Group, TS Grale created a bespoke search strategy to generate a map of the Managing Director community within the chosen sectors and geographies. The brief was confidential so in addition to putting in place an NDA with candidates shortlisted, we also produced a high quality information pack to provide to candidates shortlisted outlining the organisation and its strategy.
Following a rigorous search process we were able to produce a long list of candidates and assessed each of them face to face against the agreed brief and submitted a shortlist of six candidates for discussion with our client.
The Managing Director was successfully appointed from the shortlist delivered by TS Grale.
