THE CHALLENGE

TS Grale was retained by Marshalls to source a Health, Safety & Environmental Director with group-wide accountability. Critical pillars of the Marshalls strategy are safety, ethical working practices and sustainability. This in conjunction with a drive on World Class Manufacturing methodology made this appointment essential for the ongoing success of the business.

THE SOLUTION

After multiple visits on site with the relevant board members, TS Grale designed a tailored strategy to identify relevant HSE professionals within companies where they would have the required scope of experience. Bespoke questionnaires were also created to assess specific competencies required for the role as an additional screening tool in conjunction with our formal face-to-face assessment.

A further long list meeting on site was conducted to ensure we were aligned ahead of presenting the final short list.

THE RESULT

The Group HSE Director was successfully appointed from the shortlist delivered by TS Grale – the process from sign-off to offer was completed in 8 weeks.
