This month we had a chat with our Office Administrator, Angela, to learn about her experiences at TS Grale. She is a key member of our team who supports the Consultants with projects and helps in making our office environment a pleasant place to work.
Why did you choose TS Grale?
I had completed a Business Administration Apprenticeship in a different recruitment firm, and was looking for a new opportunity. TS Grale had reached out to me, offering a role in their Research and Administration team which really appealed to me as I wanted to explore a wider variety of office work and continue to develop my skills.
What do you enjoy most about working at TS Grale?
I enjoy being able to work on various projects assigned by consultants specialising in different market sectors. This allows me to learn about their industries and be a part of helping them achieve their objectives and targets. I have a good relationship with my colleagues and I have made friends here as well, therefore, coming in to the office is always a delight. TS Grale also offer hybrid working which is very important for my work-life balance. At the end of a successful month, I look forward to our team events and celebrating our success by enjoying activities such as, Go Ape, Escape Room, Spa’s and exploring different types of food.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Upon arrival at the office I like to start my day with a healthy breakfast and a cup of tea. I look over my emails and create a clear check-list for the day, categorising my workload into an order of urgency.
My day varies dependent on workload, such as, CRM based projects, formatting documents and ensuring our job adverts are up to date on our website. I am also in charge of making sure we have sufficient office supplies, this includes, stationary, IT equipment and refreshments – which allows our team to work productively.
Outside of work, I like to train at the gym, socialise with my friends, spend time with family, and travel.
Have you learned anything new since you started?
I feel like I have developed my confidence and interpersonal skills through various challenges I have faced and working along side experienced individuals with big personalities. When I first joined I was quiet and nervous because it was a different environment to my previous role. The team at TS Grale was larger and I was given a broader variety of work. I had to learn quickly, but with the right support from Paul Fleming – a Managing Partner, and other team members, I was able to overcome my anxiousness and thrive.
What would you like someone who’s interested in applying to know?
I would encourage people to join the recruitment industry as there’s a lot to learn in a fast, changing environment with opportunities to enhance your skills on a daily basis.
