Our client is a UK market leading B2B Building Products Manufacturing and Distribution Business with over 900 employees across 5 manufacturing sites.
Continually innovating and developing solutions that help its customers to stay ahead of the competition, it has a philosophy of continuous improvement that isn’t limited to just its products but is reflected throughout the service and support offering.
In support of these values and to maintain its competitive advantage, they are now looking to recruit an experienced Commercial Director to manage and grow key customer relations with existing accounts and develop new sales opportunities.
Role Overview:
Reporting to the Group Sales Director, the Commercial Director will be responsible for building strong relationships with an existing group of customers who account for a total of 65% of all business, ensuring there is a robust communication strategy in place, such that the customer has full knowledge and is aware of the complete product and service portfolio and is kept abreast of updated information.
Additionally, the role will have new client and sales acquisition responsibilities in line with margin and revenue targets.
Who we are looking for:
Candidates should be experienced Senior Sales Professionals, ideally with a good understanding of the building supply chain. Exposure to manufacturing operations is essential as this role will require partnering with operations to achieve optimum performance levels.
You should also be able to demonstrate working in a data driven environment in relation to new business development, price management, margin development, range selling, negotiation and an ability to manage multiple projects and deliver to agreed deadlines.
As strategic thinker, with a hands-on approach, committed and driven to deliver results, you will need to be a highly organised and self-motivated individual, who thrives in a varied and challenging role.
