Our client is a European Headquartered market leading developer and manufacturer of products supporting food and retail markets across the UK. As part of their drive to continue delivering market leading products, across the UK, a requirement exists for a NPI Manager to control and spearhead the NPI function across multiple manufacturing sites.
Main areas of focus include:
Key Business Projects
Plan and drive the complex, multi-faceted Key Business Projects through to successful completion having full ownership throughout. This will include providing stake holders and directors with regular update reports. Motivate the many different internal functions so that projects remain on track. Where appropriate liaise with UK Marketing to drive product exposure through exhibitions, market literature, internal communications etc.
Day to Day Product Introduction
The NPI manager will utilise the skills and experience of the NPI team by allocating a project manager to each product launch. The project manager will run the project on a day to day basis from customer approval through to production and into full launch with our customers, with the NPI Manager taking the overarching position across multiple live projects.
Develop relationships with the portfolio of external suppliers to ensure that we remain at the cutting edge of technological developments, assisting in the delivery of continuous improvement in efficient production output.
Negotiate commercial agreements with suppliers and drive a partnership supply strategy with each.

Excellent project management skills ideally with an engineering bias

The ability to effectively allocate resources, management of a team including EPDR’s and coordinating with production, sales, marketing and supply chain.
In the course of a project, an NPI manager must address complications and deficiencies in the production or launch process. Have the ability to gather sufficient information to identify their causes and develop alternative solutions. Analysis of the possibilities involves assessing the benefits, costs and feasibility.
