Our client is the UK Division of a large FMCG, high volume and fast paced European manufacturer where production demand is relentless. Over the last 5 years this business has been on a growth journey, backed up with a significant investment programme. To support future growth and profit enhancement, they are now looking to recruit a Site Operations Director for their largest UK plant based in the Northern Home Counties.


Role Overview:

Reporting to the UK Managing Director, the Site Operations Director will have full accountability for end to end manufacturing operations including direct leadership of production, planning and scheduling, maintenance and engineering, quality and health and safety. As well as collaborative leadership of warehousing and logistics.

With site P+L responsibility and c250 operatives, key objectives in this role are to drive a cultural change programme of accountability and build an agile, innovative workforce that embraces cost control management and strives for ‘right first time’.


Who we are looking for:

Candidates should be experienced Production/Operations Senior Managers with a track record of enhancing operational performance working in a fast paced, highly automated environment.

In addition, you will need to be able to demonstrate considerable experience of successfully embedding LEAN principles and Continuous Improvement methodologies in a company supplying high volume, short lead time products.
